Tilman Pass Trek


    Tilman Pass Trek is known as a rough trek in remote and wild part of the Himalayas of Langtang region which offers an amazing view of Langsisha-Ri Glacier, Five sacred Lakes of Panch Pokhari with unsurpassed natural beauty and biological diversity as well as far-flung Jugal Himal. It is taken as a new open route which is starts from Syabru bensi and ends at Chautara.

    It is very renowned trekking trail for the splendid Himalayan panorama including the Langtang, Gaurishanker, Yala peak, Ganesh Himal, Dorje lakpa and Rolwaling Himalaya range which links the Himalaya from Kangchenjunga in the East to Dhaulagiri in the West. This region is popularly known as the inhabitance of Tamang ethnic group, rewarded as Tamang Heritage culture as well as home for rare Red Panda, Bears, Leopard, Jackal, Monkeys, wild peaks plus varieties of wildlife and diverse vegetation. Moreover, many historical places, religious places, cave, and naturally beautiful lakes are the major attraction of noble experience of the trekking.

    Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu
    Upon your arrival our representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, after introductory meeting transfer you to hotel in Kathmandu. Rest of the day varies upon your arrival time; we can organize some activities if you arrived by midday or early afternoon but late afternoon and evening arrivals have a free day for individual activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
     
    Day 02: Half day sightseeing & final preparation
    After breakfast, encounter the day by sight viewing tours to different historical, spiritual and cultural attractions; including the Swoyambhunath, one of the most glorious Buddhist Chaityas probably the oldest temple of Nepal, famous for its nickname as Monkey Temple which has been registered in UNICECO heritage side. Then we will Pashupatinath, the most famous Hindu temple in the country, dedicating to Lord Shivalocated on the banks of the holy Baghmati River. Here we see Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the Ghats.
    From there our trip heads toward Boudhhatnath, the largest Tibetan Buddhist stupa of the valley located about 6km. away to the east of Kathmandu City, known as Khasti Chitya. The rest of our time in Kathmandu is free for further sightseeing, exploration & final preparation for next morning to trekking. In the late afternoon your tour guide will confirm departure information for the next morning. Stay overnight at hotel
     
    Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi
    From Kathmandu, drive to Syabru Bensi (1450meters), the preliminary point of the trek which takes about eight/nine hours by bus/van through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabru Bensi passing throughDhunche which give experience  the adventure of deep land. You can catch a glimpse of terraces and green hills and Ganesh Himal while passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli River. From Syabru Bensi, the adventure begins! Passing through many small villages on the way will be pleasing you with scraps of everyday living in these lowland villages. Overnight at hotel.
     
    Day 04: Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel
    First day of trekking starts after taking breakfast, crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola and gradually climbs to Bamboo (1960m) enjoy through the rhododendron and bamboo forests. The most attraction of this forest is variety of wildlife such as red pandas, wild boars, yellow-throated martens, languor monkeys(The honey hunter animal), and Himalayan black bears etc. Thereafter, our trek ascends gently toward Rimche (2400m) intervene through Bamboo (1960meters), lies at the bank of Langtang Khola with local houses. And at the end your trail is level to the Lama Hotel (2,470m) for the overnight stay, this will take about 5:30hours.
     
    Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang
    After breakfast, from lama hotel we will ascend toward Gumanechok, Ghora Tabela (horse stable) and along the way you will be able to see the beautiful view of Langtang Lirung peak, Langtang Village and Langtang RI. The trek continues east and the valley opens out into the pastoral meadows of Langtang Village (3,480m) where you can find yak and the wild goats wondering around you. This normally takes 6 hours.  This is one of the old villages, where people live year round with cultivation like Potatoes, Buckwheat, Barley and vegetables similarly beautiful vegetation around Oaks, Hemlock, and bamboo's with birds also added the beauty, along this trekking route and the view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain . We will spend rest of time walking around village and stay overnight at Guest house.
     
    Day 06: Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa
    We will continues our trek through the yak pasture to the mysterious and remote Gompa at Kyanjin (3730m), a short walk normally takes 4 hours and rest of the day you can enjoy surroundings, a famous Cheese factory (run through Yak Milk), ancient monastery, meadows with grazing Yaks, Sheep and Mountain goats. Kyanjin, a beautiful valley is in the lap of the Langtang Lirung, a good place to explore local culture similar as Tibetan which has been imitating from centuries. This place is famous for to explore the valley as well as lots of small peaks to climb. Overnight stay at guesthouse.
     
    Day 07: Kyanjin Gompa exploration day.
    Today we will do rest and explore the surrounding area, after the breakfast travel around the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyanjin RI (4350meters) and Tserko RI (5033m) for incredible view of the Langtang range which is ultimate point of this trek, directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji. Explore around the glacier and Himalayan Yak pasture. Overnight at guesthouse.
     
    Day 08: Kyanjin Gomp to Langshisa Kharka
    From Kyanjin Gompa to Langshisa Kharka trek will takes about 5-6 hours walk. Langshisa is very famous forviews of Langshisha RI (6310m), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Urkeinmang (6151m), and Pent hang Karpo RI (6830m). There are no facilities for the night so we have a tent and food for camping at Langshisha Kharka which is lies at an elevation of 4080m. Today is exciting day for non-tourist area trekking and more adventures. Stay overnight at tented camp.

    Day 09: Langshisa Kharka to Moraine Camp
    After breakfast, we will leave the Langshisa Kharka and head towards Moraine Camp which takes normally 5 to 6 hours walk. To reach at Moraine Camp we will pass through the high alpine vegetations, it is one of the highest points of our trekking which is lies at the height of 4650m. Stay overnight at camp.

    Day 10: Moraine Camp to Tilman Pass Base Camp via Tilman Pass
    Today we will feel more exciting and have to face strenuous adventure. Mostly the trek goes steeply up through the rocky moraine and ultimately around 6-7 hours walk leads us to Tilman Base Camp via Tilman Pass which is situated at an altitude of 5320m. We will descend another side for overnight stay.
     
    Day 11: Trek Tilman Base Camp to Tinpokhari
    After breakfast, we will ride towards Tinpokhari (the three lakes) by leaving Tilman Base camp. It is one of the prominent attractions of the Tilman Pass Trekking. Todays adventure takes about 5-6 hours to arrive in Tinpokhari which is lies at an elevation of 3735 meters. Stay overnight in tented camp.

    Day 12: Tinpokhari to Panchpokhari
    Today, we will make our way toward tranquil Lake Panchpokhari which is situated at an apex of 4123 meters. The incredible beauty of the surrounding makes the adventure more exciting. The five holy lakes are the prominent attraction of the day. The trek may more difficult because there is often snow on this ridge. It takes about 5-6 hours walk. Overnight stay at camp.

    Day 13: Panchpokhari excursion day
    Today we will take rest and explore around Panchpokhari. After late weak up and have hot breakfast we will wonder around Panchpokhari and nature excursion. It is also known from a secluded pilgrimage site where the Janaipurnima festival is celebrating in August. Here we will be able to see two pilgrim houses and the temples dedicated to Lord Shiva where Many Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims visit this lake each year. In the remaining time, we will enjoying with the spectacular views of mountains and surrounded beauties. We will spend overnight at Tented Camp.

    Day 14: Panchpokhari to Nasimpati
    After breakfast, we will follow descend trail through rocky hills which brings us to Nasimpati. The five holy lakes are the outstanding attraction of the day which is lies at an apex of 4050 meters. The trek may more difficult because there is often snow on this ridge. Panchpokhari to Nasimpati trek takes about 5-6 hours walk. We will spend overnight at tented camp at Nasimpati, at an elevation of 3745 meters. 

    Day 15: Nasimpati to Bhang yang
    Today, we will trace the gradual ascend trail through rocky hills and rhododendron forest toward a hillock at an elevation of 3980m then traverse through open ground along a flag stone trail to another crest of wonderful views. Ultimately the trail brings us to Bhang yang (3414m) after 5-6 hours walk for overnight stay.

    Day 16: Bhang yang to Pauwabas
    Today, we pass the some great mountain views on our way down then we will follow a ascend trail through the forest. Again we will mark out steep down trail before reaching Pauwabas. It lies at an altitude of 3024 meters. From Bhang yang to Pauwabas trek takes about 5 hours walk. Stay overnight at Tented Camp.
     
    Day 17: Pauwabas to Kharka
    Today, we will trace the route through the lush forest of rhododendron, oak, pine and juniper with magnificent views. On the way we will encounter many summer pasture shelters or some nomad houses for cattle. It takes about 6 hours walk to reach in Kharka (2855m) from Pauwabas .We will spend overnight at tented camp.

    Day 18: Kharka to Okhreni
    Today we will follow the steep descend path through stunning, dense Rhododendron and pine forest towards the Okhreni which is situated at an altitude of 2043 meters. En-route we can see some wild animals such as mountain deer or languor monkeys and Nepali birdlife like the danfe if we are lucky. From Kharka to Okhareni trek takes about 4-5 hours. Today we will spend the night at tented camp in a grassy area, is surrounded by forest.

    Day 19: Trek Okhreni to Chautara
    We will trace the gradual downhill trail to reach in Chautara which takes about 5-6 hours walk. On the way, we will cross through small villages where we will be able to see the diverse ethnic groups and theirs cultures. Similarly, you will be able to see the great views to the mountains and spend overnight near a pine forest. Our camp will setting at Chautara which is lies at an elevation of 1235 meters.

    Day 20: Drive from Chautara to Kathmandu
    After breakfast we will head towards Kathmandu by taking a scenic drive about 4-5 hours form Chautara. On our journey, we will cross the beautiful scenery like ridgeline vistas, rice terraces, streams, rivers as well as local settlements as well as high hills along the river side. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be then transferred to your hotel. Rest of the time you can spend the evening leisurely. Stay overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
     
    Day 21: Rest day & Shopping
    This day is leisure day for you to rest after many days trekking. You can either relax whole day or you can explore around the city. You can roam around the shopping malls or you can buy handicrafts, Thankas as well as souvenirs to your family, friends or relatives and other various arts and sculptures in the markets. Rest of the time you can spend the evening leisurely, perhaps catch up on some last minute shopping and celebrate Traditional Nepali Dinner together with Nepali Travel staffs. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

    Day 22: Depart Kathmandu: farewell friends
    According to your flight schedule, it is varies on your departure time rest of day is at leisure for independent activities of your interest until we pick you up at the hotel or we could plan some activities upon your choice if it is late hour flight and then transfer to airport for your further destination.

    Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi
    From Kathmandu, drive to Syabru Bensi (1450meters), the preliminary point of the trek which takes about eight/nine hours by bus/van through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabru Bensi passing throughDhunche which give experience  the adventure of deep land. You can catch a glimpse of terraces and green hills and Ganesh Himal while passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli River. From Syabru Bensi, the adventure begins! Passing through many small villages on the way will be pleasing you with scraps of everyday living in these lowland villages. Overnight at hotel.
     
    Day 04: Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel
    First day of trekking starts after taking breakfast, crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola and gradually climbs to Bamboo (1960m) enjoy through the rhododendron and bamboo forests. The most attraction of this forest is variety of wildlife such as red pandas, wild boars, yellow-throated martens, languor monkeys(The honey hunter animal), and Himalayan black bears etc. Thereafter, our trek ascends gently toward Rimche (2400m) intervene through Bamboo (1960meters), lies at the bank of Langtang Khola with local houses. And at the end your trail is level to the Lama Hotel (2,470m) for the overnight stay, this will take about 5:30hours.
     
    Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang
    After breakfast, from lama hotel we will ascend toward Gumanechok, Ghora Tabela (horse stable) and along the way you will be able to see the beautiful view of Langtang Lirung peak, Langtang Village and Langtang RI. The trek continues east and the valley opens out into the pastoral meadows of Langtang Village (3,480m) where you can find yak and the wild goats wondering around you. This normally takes 6 hours.  This is one of the old villages, where people live year round with cultivation like Potatoes, Buckwheat, Barley and vegetables similarly beautiful vegetation around Oaks, Hemlock, and bamboo's with birds also added the beauty, along this trekking route and the view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain . We will spend rest of time walking around village and stay overnight at Guest house.
     
    Day 06: Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa
    We will continues our trek through the yak pasture to the mysterious and remote Gompa at Kyanjin (3730m), a short walk normally takes 4 hours and rest of the day you can enjoy surroundings, a famous Cheese factory (run through Yak Milk), ancient monastery, meadows with grazing Yaks, Sheep and Mountain goats. Kyanjin, a beautiful valley is in the lap of the Langtang Lirung, a good place to explore local culture similar as Tibetan which has been imitating from centuries. This place is famous for to explore the valley as well as lots of small peaks to climb. Overnight stay at guesthouse.
     
    Day 07: Kyanjin Gompa exploration day.
    Today we will do rest and explore the surrounding area, after the breakfast travel around the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyanjin RI (4350meters) and Tserko RI (5033m) for incredible view of the Langtang range which is ultimate point of this trek, directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji. Explore around the glacier and Himalayan Yak pasture. Overnight at guesthouse.
     
    Day 08: Kyanjin Gomp to Langshisa Kharka
    From Kyanjin Gompa to Langshisa Kharka trek will takes about 5-6 hours walk. Langshisa is very famous forviews of Langshisha RI (6310m), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Urkeinmang (6151m), and Pent hang Karpo RI (6830m). There are no facilities for the night so we have a tent and food for camping at Langshisha Kharka which is lies at an elevation of 4080m. Today is exciting day for non-tourist area trekking and more adventures. Stay overnight at tented camp.

    Day 09: Langshisa Kharka to Moraine Camp
    After breakfast, we will leave the Langshisa Kharka and head towards Moraine Camp which takes normally 5 to 6 hours walk. To reach at Moraine Camp we will pass through the high alpine vegetations, it is one of the highest points of our trekking which is lies at the height of 4650m. Stay overnight at camp.

    Day 10: Moraine Camp to Tilman Pass Base Camp via Tilman Pass
    Today we will feel more exciting and have to face strenuous adventure. Mostly the trek goes steeply up through the rocky moraine and ultimately around 6-7 hours walk leads us to Tilman Base Camp via Tilman Pass which is situated at an altitude of 5320m. We will descend another side for overnight stay.
     
    Day 11: Trek Tilman Base Camp to Tinpokhari
    After breakfast, we will ride towards Tinpokhari (the three lakes) by leaving Tilman Base camp. It is one of the prominent attractions of the Tilman Pass Trekking. Todays adventure takes about 5-6 hours to arrive in Tinpokhari which is lies at an elevation of 3735 meters. Stay overnight in tented camp.

    Day 12: Tinpokhari to Panchpokhari
    Today, we will make our way toward tranquil Lake Panchpokhari which is situated at an apex of 4123 meters. The incredible beauty of the surrounding makes the adventure more exciting. The five holy lakes are the prominent attraction of the day. The trek may more difficult because there is often snow on this ridge. It takes about 5-6 hours walk. Overnight stay at camp.

    Day 13: Panchpokhari excursion day
    Today we will take rest and explore around Panchpokhari. After late weak up and have hot breakfast we will wonder around Panchpokhari and nature excursion. It is also known from a secluded pilgrimage site where the Janaipurnima festival is celebrating in August. Here we will be able to see two pilgrim houses and the temples dedicated to Lord Shiva where Many Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims visit this lake each year. In the remaining time, we will enjoying with the spectacular views of mountains and surrounded beauties. We will spend overnight at Tented Camp.

    Day 14: Panchpokhari to Nasimpati
    After breakfast, we will follow descend trail through rocky hills which brings us to Nasimpati. The five holy lakes are the outstanding attraction of the day which is lies at an apex of 4050 meters. The trek may more difficult because there is often snow on this ridge. Panchpokhari to Nasimpati trek takes about 5-6 hours walk. We will spend overnight at tented camp at Nasimpati, at an elevation of 3745 meters. 

    Day 15: Nasimpati to Bhang yang
    Today, we will trace the gradual ascend trail through rocky hills and rhododendron forest toward a hillock at an elevation of 3980m then traverse through open ground along a flag stone trail to another crest of wonderful views. Ultimately the trail brings us to Bhang yang (3414m) after 5-6 hours walk for overnight stay.

    Day 16: Bhang yang to Pauwabas
    Today, we pass the some great mountain views on our way down then we will follow a ascend trail through the forest. Again we will mark out steep down trail before reaching Pauwabas. It lies at an altitude of 3024 meters. From Bhang yang to Pauwabas trek takes about 5 hours walk. Stay overnight at Tented Camp.
     
    Day 17: Pauwabas to Kharka
    Today, we will trace the route through the lush forest of rhododendron, oak, pine and juniper with magnificent views. On the way we will encounter many summer pasture shelters or some nomad houses for cattle. It takes about 6 hours walk to reach in Kharka (2855m) from Pauwabas .We will spend overnight at tented camp.

    Day 18: Kharka to Okhreni
    Today we will follow the steep descend path through stunning, dense Rhododendron and pine forest towards the Okhreni which is situated at an altitude of 2043 meters. En-route we can see some wild animals such as mountain deer or languor monkeys and Nepali birdlife like the danfe if we are lucky. From Kharka to Okhareni trek takes about 4-5 hours. Today we will spend the night at tented camp in a grassy area, is surrounded by forest.

    Day 19: Trek Okhreni to Chautara
    We will trace the gradual downhill trail to reach in Chautara which takes about 5-6 hours walk. On the way, we will cross through small villages where we will be able to see the diverse ethnic groups and theirs cultures. Similarly, you will be able to see the great views to the mountains and spend overnight near a pine forest. Our camp will setting at Chautara which is lies at an elevation of 1235 meters.

    Day 20: Drive from Chautara to Kathmandu
    After breakfast we will head towards Kathmandu by taking a scenic drive about 4-5 hours form Chautara. On our journey, we will cross the beautiful scenery like ridgeline vistas, rice terraces, streams, rivers as well as local settlements as well as high hills along the river side. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be then transferred to your hotel. Rest of the time you can spend the evening leisurely. Stay overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
     
    Day 21: Rest day & Shopping
    This day is leisure day for you to rest after many days trekking. You can either relax whole day or you can explore around the city. You can roam around the shopping malls or you can buy handicrafts, Thankas as well as souvenirs to your family, friends or relatives and other various arts and sculptures in the markets. Rest of the time you can spend the evening leisurely, perhaps catch up on some last minute shopping and celebrate Traditional Nepali Dinner together with Nepali Travel staffs. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

    Day 22: Depart Kathmandu: farewell friends
    According to your flight schedule, it is varies on your departure time rest of day is at leisure for independent activities of your interest until we pick you up at the hotel or we could plan some activities upon your choice if it is late hour flight and then transfer to airport for your further destination.
