Tibet Everest Base Camp Tours


    Tingri Everest Base Camp tour follows the route via crossing Nepal boarder side Kodari friendship highway to entire Tibet or trekkers can do the same trek by arriving Lhasa first via main land of China.  At the high plains of Old Tingri you will meet with our trekking crews team and start trekking to North Everest Base Camp. The trek will take you up the historic expedition route from Old Tingri to Rongbuk Monastery crossing over the Langma La pass (16,900 ft). Later hike up to the North Everest Base Camp and explore the Rongbuk glacier lies directly below the massive north face of Mount Everest.

    After exploring and enjoying world’s highest mountain sceneries from Rongbuk you will join again continue overland journey to Kathmandu, Nepal if you have started the trek from Lhasa. If you are starting the trek from Nepal side Tibet border the route follows overland journey first then from Old Tingri commences the trek. After trek overland journey again take you up to Lhasa. In Lhasa you will visit all the popular historical and religious sites including famous Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple Drepung Monastery and other cultural hubs.

    The trek portion will be supported by our team that includes a camping cook who will prepare all meals. All camping equipment will be provided except you personal gear. During the trek clients need to carry small day-pack only to walk at easy pace as this trek is designed for a more relax. All equipment and luggage will be carried by yaks or supporting truck.     Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu
    Arrival in Kathmandu airport, you will be met with our official representative, transferred to your hotel, be refresh and rest.

    Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing
    After Breakfast sightseeing tour to Shyambhunath Stupa, Where you can see lots of monkeys & beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley. This old stupa called by Monkey Temple as well. After visiting there drive to Bouddhanath Stupa, the second biggest Stupa in the world and Pashupatinath Temple, famous Hindus shrine. In the afternoon prepare for trekking and O/n at Hotel.

    Day 03: Drive to Border, Cross Border And Drive to Nyalam
    Early in the morning departure from Kathmandu we will begin our drive with a short trip through fascinating Nepalese countryside. We will soon reach the border and complete all the necessary paper work. After completing immigration formalities we will ascend a   steep switchback on our way to Nyalam. You can see mossy gullies and beautiful cascading waterfalls surround us along the way.

    Day 04: Rest Day in Nyalam for Acclimatization
    Today is lay over day for you to rest and enjoy at Nyalam. We must properly acclimatize before we move on. You can also explore the small temple and historic sites which are located near surround the town.

    Day 05: Drive to Tingri
    Today is another amazing driving day as we view the sharp contrast of lush lower hills to the barren landscape of the Tibetan Plateau. Along the way we will cross Lalung La pass, where views of Everest and much of the Himalayan range are first seen. Tonight we will stay in the small town of Tingri.

    Day 06: Trek to Lungthang (4510m)
    Our trekking adventure begins today as we make our way through the Tingri plain. Throughout the day we can visit a small gompa in Chholun. Tonight will be spent in a comfortable campsite in Lunthang. This bleak region is home only to herders and barley harvesters.

    Day 07: Trek to Lamna La (5150 m)
    The challenging trekking really starts today as we ascend into the mountains. Much uphill walking is done as we climb towards the top of Lamna La. Camp will be made right near the top of this pass.

    Day 08: Trek to Zommug (4790 m)
    In the morning we descend steeply into lush vegetation. The only other people we will encounter are yak herders and their families. Camp will be made in the small village of Zommug. Truly amazing views can be seen as the sun sets in this barren town.

    Day 09: Trek to Rongbuk
    On our last day of trekking we will wind our way to the end destination of Rongbuk Everest Base Camp. Along the way we can also visit the Dza Rongbuk monastery and gompas. They are truly ancient sites, but nothing compared to our night camping at Everest Base Camp.

    Day 10: Explotaion at Rongbuk Glacier
    Our eighth day will be spent enjoying the barren yet awe-inspiring surroundings of the Everest Base Camp. It is a life changing experience to stare up into the world's largest mountain.

    Day 11: Drive to Shegar
    As we leave the wondrous views of Everest behind we drive a short distance to Shegar. Along the way we cross the Pang La pass, with more views of the Himalayas. Tonight will be spent in the comfortable Hotel Quomolongma.

    Day 12: Drive to xigatse
    Today overland journey will be spent along the Friendship Highway as we cross the highest pass of our journey, Gyatmso La and head through Lhatse. We continue on with a short drive to Shigatse which is the second largest city in Tibet.

    Day 13: Singtseeing & Drive to Gyantse
    Not a minute is wasted as we have a full morning of exploring the local markets and monasteries. It is very intriguing to see how ancient Tibetan culture compares to the modern day culture we will experience. There are endless amounts of sights, both modern and ancient, to see around this city. A short drive will take us to the city of Gyantse. We will be given the opportunity of experiencing more wondrous Tibetan culture as we see the Gyantse Dzong and Kumbum. Expansive views of the valley can be seen from the ancient Dzong fort. The Kumbum is much more than a stupa, as numerous Tibetan murals and small chapel houses surround it. Even if you are no art connoisseur these ancient murals and architecture will amaze you. Another comfortable night will be spent in a hotel in Gyantse.

    Day 14: Drive to Lhasa
    Today is an amazing day of driving as we head towards Lhasa. Numerous passes, such as Khambo La and Kharo La, provide wondrous views of the Himalayan range. A colossal glacier rises nearly straight up from the road as we pas Kharo La. The drive is no daunting task as we pass through many more beautiful Tibetan valleys and quiet villages along the way. Our final destination is a first rate hotel in Lhasa.

    Day 15: Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa
    After breakfast morning we will take a very simple visit to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar. Jokhang temple, the product of Han, Tibetan and Nepalese architectural techniques, is the most revered shrine in all of Tibet and is constantly bustling with devoted worshippers.  In the afternoon we will visit the Sera Monastery, a fifteenth century sprawl of golden roofs and whitewashed walls. This well preserved monastery is located 5 km to the north direction of central Lhasa city. 

    Day 16: Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa
    A trip to Tibet is a big loss if without visiting the popular Potala Palace. Potala Palace is a structure of massive portions. Its towering image already appearing on various occasions, but your first sight of the Potala will still be an awe-inspiring moment. We will visit those rooms, halls and chapels to observe typical creations. After visiting Potala Palace another visit is to Drepung Monastery, once the world's largest monastery, housing 10,000 monks; it lies hidden in rocky ridges just beyond the city. Drepung Monastery is about 8 km west from central Lhasa. 

    Day 17: Departure
    Transfer to Airport or train station for final departure.
