Chitwan National Park:3N/4D


    The Royal Chitwan National Park, situated 165 km overland or 25 minutes by air to the southwest of Katmandu, is one of the richest safari destinations in Asia. Spread over an area of 932 sq. km, it offers a unique ecosystem encompassing hills, ox-bow lakes, flood plains, tall grasslands and thick jungles dominated by Sal trees (Shored Robust). Chitwan is home to more than 40 species of wild animals, many of which are rare and endangered. They include the One-Horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Gharial Crocodile, Wild Elephant, Four-Horned Antelope, Striped Hyena and the Gangetic Dolphin. Over 450 species of birds like the Bengal Florida, Giant Hornbill, Sarus Crane, the Racket-Tailed Drongo and other exotic varieties delight bird watchers. Jungle activities include sightseeing on elephant-back, canoe rides on the rivers, jeep drives, jungle walks and village tours. 


    Short Itinerary



    Day 01:
    On your arrival at bus stop/airport/at the hotel gate, hotel staff will receive you. You will be transferred to Resort where you will be offered refreshments, be given a briefing on resort and its facilities. After being given your program for the day, your room will then be allocated.
    After you refreshment and little rest staff would start to serve you hot Lunch.
    Village tour would be nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the lifestyles of the Tharu.
    Then we will head to the National Park Visitor's center where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife, where guide will explain in detail to understand. Afterward guide will take you to the river beach for lovely sunset.
    After the sunset head back to hotel grab cup of tea/coffee for refreshment and would be Dinner time
    Before heading to bed Your guide will recap next day's program and time table

    Day 02:
    Wakeup call with cup of hot tea/coffee.
    Serve choice of your breakfast from their hotel menu
    Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for bird watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the only fish eating Gharial then they would take you to real nature walk with different types vegetation to see many different types of floras and faunas.
    Before lunch you can take a leisurely relax little while or You can also spend the time before lunch to gaze at the fishes found in Chitwan in your own fish pond (if there is in hotel) or play a game of tennis or billiards with your friends or just spend a few quiet moments in our library with a book. You can even let your children play by themselves in our children's playground. Your choices are limitless.
    After you refreshment and little rest staff would serve you hot Lunch.
    There would be seasonal activities about Elephant briefing & bathing (especially in hot season).
    Elephant safari, an excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer rhinoceros, or, monkeys, leopard sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger. You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.
    Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you can also participate in) by the local villagers or a slide show presentation on almost everything under the Chitwan.
    After the cultural program would be Dinner time

    Day 03:
    Wakeup call with cup of hot tea/coffee.
    Serve choice of your breakfast from their hotel menu
    Drive to "Bees Hazzar Tal" (Twenty thousand lakes) where you will see significant wildlife included dears, rhinoceros, crocodiles and lots of birds in and around these lakes.
    Back to our Resort where you can have little rest and get refresh
    After you refreshment and little rest staff would serve you hot Lunch
    Jungle Drive (only if national park open the jeep drive, normally they open November - may rest of the time alternative activities will be provided) through the grasslands, riverian forests and sal forests to Kasara (the National Park's head quarters) Gharial hatchery farm where you will learn about how crocodiles are brought up at this farm & then later released into the rivers.
    After jungle drive head back to hotel grab cup of tea/coffee for refreshment and would be Dinner time
    Before heading to bed Your guide will recap next day's program and time table

    Day 04:
    Wakeup call with cup of hot tea/coffee.
    Visiting to the elephant breading center to see baby elephants (if we stay in Sauraha if not would be bird watching only) with bird watching in river bank.
    Serve choice of your breakfast from their hotel menu
    Departure for onward your journey by bus/flight/car as we organized your booking in advance.
